• Histoplasmosis - Is a disease caused by fungus and can be transmitted to humans by airborne fungus spores from soil contaminated by pigeon droppings. Most cases of Histoplasmosis infection occur when spores carried by the air are inhaled.


• Cryptococcsis - Is a fungus disease which is caused by the accumulation of pigeon droppings. The disease is caused by inhaling the yeast like cells of the organism.


• Psittacosis - Is a rare disease that can be carried by pigeons. The disease is usually spread by inhaling the dust from dried droppings and from feather dust. Psittacosis is caused by a bacteria rather than a fungi but it is another infectious disease that can develop after disturbing and inhaling contaminated bird manure.
